Mayor Emeritus Membership

As a Mayor, you held a position in your community and state that very few citizens ever attain.
The experience and knowledge gained during your tenure as Mayor is one of a kind and invaluable.

As a former Mayor, you have the opportunity to continue to participate in current issues and events affecting Mayors throughout the state by joining the New Jersey Conference of Mayors “Mayors Emeritus Advisory Council” (MEAC).

The Advisory Council provides support to the NJCM’s goals, objectives and events. Your knowledge and years of experience could be utilized to provide assistance to the very large number of new Mayors in New Jersey.

The Mayor Emeritus provide significant support and involvement of the NJCM Annual Conference in Atlantic City, the Annual Executive Summit and other various workshops, seminars and conventions.

“Mayor Emeritus” membership cards, certificates, car decals, and lapel pins will be provided to members. You will also receive the “Conference Magazine” which will keep you informed of current events in our state. You will also receive invitations to all our major events.

The adage, “Once a Mayor – always a Mayor” pertains to you, and your opportunity to join us applies to only those who have served as Mayors.
