State Development & Redevelopment Plan Update
The New Jersey State Planning Commission is currently updating the 2001 New Jersey State Development and Redevelopment Plan (SDRP). As part of this effort, the Office of Planning Advocacy—along with the New Jersey Conference of Mayors (NJCM) and the Rutgers Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy—will present an overview of the SDRP to mayors and seek additional feedback from NJCM members.
Speaker:
Walter Lane, Acting Executive Director of the Office of Planning Advocacy
Moderator:
Mayor Janice Mironov, East Windsor Township
Topics will include how the draft SDRP can support municipalities in advancing their local planning priorities. A Q&A session will follow, giving mayors the opportunity to provide feedback on the Plan’s goals and strategies. These insights will help guide revisions to the current draft and inform the NJCM’s position as the SDRP moves toward finalization.
